Our research and development team is continually working to optimize and extend our technology to bring our partners another step closer to the sustainable, low-carbon marketplace of tomorrow.

Our R&D team is focused on the following key initiatives:

• Optimizing the Q Microbe^®: We are optimizing the natural metabolic processes of the Q Microbe to maximize ethanol yield and efficiency at commercial scale. Our R&D team is also optimizing the Q Microbe's ability to produce other engineered specialty chemicals, offering possible applications beyond ethanol.
• Optimizing our CBP process: Leveraging our strength in science and process engineering, Qteros continues to refine and optimize our CBP platform for process simplicity, efficiency, and cost savings. Our team has developed and refined processes for pre-treatment and fermentation of specific cellulosic feedstocks to enable the highest yield of ethanol with the greatest efficiency and lowest cost.
• Researching other microbes: Our R&D team is also focused on the development of other promising microbes for a range of commercial bio-processing applications.
