Dyson V10 vs. Dyson 11: Comparison Chart
Today’s competitors are the newest models of Dyson’s line of vacuum cleaners, and as such, they belong to the same category.
However, there are some core differences between the two that you should acknowledge. Once you do, it’ll become clear which one is right for you.
Dyson V10 vs. Dyson V11: Main Similarities
Similarity #1 – Filtration System
Both of these vacuum cleaners feature the advanced True HEPA filter technology. In other words, they are both able to remove 99.97% of all the microparticles, as small as 0.3 microns.
What this means in practice is that these vacuum cleaners will remove virtually any dirt, dust, allergens, and pollutants from your carpet and the floor. We cannot express how satisfied we were with the results.
Similarity #2 – Dust Bin
The V10 and V11 arguably have the most convenient dust bins of the series.
Not only do they have a large capacity (0.77L), which means you won’t have to empty them as often, but they are also exceptionally easy to clean.
Namely, the manufacturers have utilized the so-called “point-and-shoot” system, which means it won’t get messy as it can get with some other vacuum cleaners.
You just need to point the vacuum to the trash bin and then pull down the latch that opens it for a hygienic drop of the contents. No problems there!
Dyson V10 vs. Dyson V11: Main Differences
Difference #1 – Physical Characteristics
Judging by their design, one may think that the Dyson V10 and V11 are entirely the same.
But even though they look similar, the V11 is around an inch and a half longer than the V10, and a pound heavier.
Even if we didn’t compare this according to the formal specs, we would conclude the same observing their performance and trying them out.
Of course, these are the nuances, but the V10 felt slightly easier to use because it puts less strain on your wrists when cleaning the floor above the ground.
Difference #2 – Accessories
This varies by the concrete models of the V10 and V11, but generally, the Dyson V11 uses the torque-drive brush roll that works masterfully for both carpet fibers and hardwood floors.
On the other hand, the V10 usually makes use of three brushes (soft dusting brush, direct drive, and fluffy roll to achieve the same effect).
Our vote here goes to the 3-in-1 torque brush of the V11. It also comes with the stubborn dirt brush that its antecedent lacks!
Difference #3 – Price
In all honesty, we did expect the Dyson V11 to come with a higher price tag, though our estimates were a little lower.
Is it worth the price? Sure.
But still, if you’re not ready to spend that much, don’t worry – the V10 is an excellent choice, too.
Difference #4 – Suction Power
Another criterion that shows the difference between the two is their suction power.
The Dyson V10 has 140AW (Air Watts), whereas the V11 has 185, meaning that its motor operates on a more powerful mode and that it sucks better for the same period.
Clearly, if efficiency is a decisive factor for you, you should go for the Dyson V11, as it will give you blistering performance with its incredible suction power.
Decision Time: Who Wins – Dyson V10 vs. Dyson V11?
It’s time to settle the Dyson V10 vs. Dyson V11 debate.
We’re not trying to get around the elephant in the room: the Dyson V11 is expensive.
But it completely justifies its price, as it is unbeatable when it comes to the cleaning force. Owning this vacuum cleaner simply means power, efficiency, and impeccable cleanliness.
But it doesn’t mean that the Dyson V10 is worse. It is a tiny tad simpler, but it is a very close runner-up to the title of the best vacuum cleaner on the market.
In other words: if you want to invest big bucks in the superior vacuum cleaner, go for the Dyson V11.
If not, the Dyson V10 still offers premium quality while being more affordable.
