This varies by the concrete models of the V10 and V11, but generally, the Dyson V11 uses the torque-drive brush roll that works masterfully for both carpet fibers and hardwood floors.
On the other hand, the V10 usually makes use of three brushes (soft dusting brush, direct drive, and fluffy roll to achieve the same effect).
